Fabian Hoose, together with Fabian Beckmann from the Institute for Labour and Qualification, invites you to submit contributions for a special issue on ‘Social Policies and Regulation of Work in the Platform Economy’.
The emergent forms of work within the platform economy frequently lack adequate protection from established social policy frameworks. However, recent years have witnessed a growing number of initiatives aimed at the social policy governance of the platform economy, encompassing both (supra)national legislation and innovative forms of social partnership arrangements. In this context, the special issue ‘Social Policies and Regulation of Work in the Platform Economy’ seeks to explore the processes of de-institutionalisation and re-institutionalisation of work within the platform economy.
We welcome theoretical, conceptual, and empirical contributions that examine the institutions, actors, and processes involved in the social policy governance and regulation of labour in the platform economy.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts (maximum 500 words) is 15 May 2025. Further details can be found in the Call for Papers (please click the button below).
