We are pleased to welcome Mondli Hlatshwayo as part of his Research stay on the topic ‘A sociological analysis of the role of universities, states, businesses and trade’ at the office of the center of cooperation RUB/IGM until february 2025.

We are pleased to welcome Mondli Hlatshwayo as part of his Research stay on the topic ‘A sociological analysis of the role of universities, states, businesses and trade’ at the office of the center of cooperation RUB/IGM until february 2025.


He is an Associate Professor (Worker Education and Labour Studies) at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research concentrates on the trade union responses to technological innovations and the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution and related issues.

In his first week, he has already visited the Learning and Research Factory of the Chair of Production Systems (LPS) together with Alexander Ranft. Marius Knott (research assistant at the LPS) showed them around the learning and research factory and demonstrated various types of human-robot collaboration, among other demonstrations.
