On 8 November 2024, the 4th cohort of the certificate course for works councils "Digital Transformation. Co-determination and co-design".

In seven modules over a period of one year, 14 representatives were qualified to help shape processes of digitalisation of work and the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace. Works councils are faced with challenges in co-determination that did not previously exist in this complexity. The certificate course is a cooperation project between the Ruhr University Bochum and the Sprockhövel training centre of IG Metall.
