 Trade union relevant issues from a scientific perspective

The network of labour and trade union research at the universities of the Ruhr: Bochum, Dortmund, Duisburg/Essen presented itself within the framework of the Rosa Luxemburg Trade Union Conference from 12-14 May at the Ruhr University in Bochum.

Manfred Wannöffel moderated the thematic seminar: "When the assembly lines came to a standstill. The wildcat strike at Opel-Bochum in 2004" with Michael Müller (IG Metall) and Rainer Einenkel (former shop stewards at Opel Bochum).

The working group on current research results of the Ruhr Network was led by

Dr. Peter Ittermann (research associate at sfs/TU Dortmund), Prof. Dr. Thomas Haipeter (head of the research department for working time and work organisation at IAQ/University of Duisburg-Essen), Dr. Claudia Niewerth (research associate at the RUB/IG Metall joint working group), Prof. Dr. Stefan Berger (director of the Institute for Social Movements/RUB) and Prof. Dr. Manfred Wannöffel.
